I'm Matt, a product designer.

🤓

I have 6+ years of experience in UX, visual design, and code. I'm currently designing at the The Washington Post, creating day-to-day tools and experiences that enable newsrooms and broadcasters across the world to be faster, more efficient, and better informed.

The rest can be found on my blog. It's a mixed bag of case studies, articles, and general musings about design. Some visual and UI pieces are over on Dribbble. Feel free to drop me a line to see more.

📐

Previously, I was with the interactive team at ISL, helping Fortune 500 and non-profit clients adapt to the internet. Before that, I had an in-house UX role at Fundrise where I focused on making the world of real estate investing more accesible and transparent for everyday people.

💻

I practice code wherever and whenever I can. It started as a need to prototype my ideas in the browser but quickly blossomed into a primary interest and hobby. Don't look at my GitHub, though — I'm self conscious.

When I'm not doing the design thing, I'm usually planning my next snowboarding trip, flying my drone, or getting into trouble with my best friend and partner in crime — Remi.
